We publish BLISS: Journal of the Bliss Family History Society, twice yearly.

The journal provides members with updates in relation to the Society including information from Committee and other meetings, news from members, information on family history and stories of Blisses past and present. It is printed and mailed to all BFHS members.

We encourage members to forward articles they have written about their ancestors or about their own or their relatives’ lives.   Many members have contributed so much to their families, communities and society in general and this is always interesting for others to learn about. 

Copies of the journal are stored in digital format in our Archives internet folder which is freely accessible to all members giving them full access to all the articles and information published since the Society was formed in August 1983.Articles or information in the magazine can sometimes lead to members with common ancestors or similar interests connecting with one another.  Whilst privacy laws prevent open disclosure of members’ contact details, our Membership Secretary can act as a point of contact if a member wants to get in touch with others they may be related to or who share similar interests.
